Smith Design is a WBENC full-service Brand Design Agency based in NJ with over 40 years of experience in creating breakthrough visual solutions for brands to win in the marketplace. In addition to strategic brand design (visual branding, packaging, graphics and structural concepts) we also extend visual and verbal strategy to various digital and physical touchpoints including social content development, web sites, in-store POS, activation, corporate identities, style guides, and environments.

We are looking for a result-driven Digital Marketing/Sales Specialist to lead our marketing and sales function to identify and develop new opportunites within existing and new customers for products and service. The ideal candidate will have experience with concepting, launching and analyzing marketing campaigns and sales efforts with a knack for translating data into actionable insights. In this role, you will work with the marketing team to develop digital marketing strategies and be responsible for monitoring cross-channel analytics to improve those strategies. You will champion outreach to prospective clients and work to optimize opportunities for client acquisition. Must have experience with Mail Chimp, Salesforce and Google Analytics.

We are looking for a candidate who has strong interpersonal communication skills, analytical skills and an interest in creative branding and marketing. Our work and clients span many different industries and categories including food and beverages, health & wellness/personal care, Pharma/OTC, household, and electronics. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement successful campaigns through a variety of growth marketing tactics and channels including email, website, social media, advertising, industry publications and more
  • Develop marketing and outreach strategies to renew and achieve new business, build meaningful client relationships and ultimately close deals
  • Monitor activity and develop strategies to optimize performance across all channels
  • Provide support with direction, development and execution of brand marketing initiatives
  • Monitor and track competitive and industry trends, making recommendations where appropriate to ensure communications and campaigns remain relevant and fresh
  • Brainstorm new growth strategies and creative executions
  • Measure and report performance of all initiatives against existing goals and contribute to establishing new success metrics
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance and identify opportunities for improved open, click-thru and conversion rates
  • Attend relevant trade shows and events.
  • Be able and willing to create digital marketing content including social media, case studies, and blog articles when time allows

Job Specifications:

  • Experience devising successful digital marketing and sales campaigns, including social media, direct outreach and advertising / PR
  • Experience monitoring, analyzing and reporting on marketing efforts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to interact and partner with co-workers, clients and prospective clients across a various roles and industries
  • Organized, detail-oriented, efficient and a natural problem-solver
  • Must be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision to initiate and manage projects through completion.
  • Great time management and multi-tasking skills; ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines
  • A curious marketer driven to try new strategies and constantly improve every stage of the funnel.
  • Background in a creative agency, B2B marketing, and/or the CPG industry preferred
